Listening to: Built to Spill

Alot of things were making me happy.

Recently Acquired shit:

LP's:

1) Elliott Smith "New Moon" Alittle nervous and aprehensive to pick this up and then listen to, knowing that this is probably "it" for him. Mellow and sweet, yet not tearful. At least not now. It was nice to hear melodies of songs that led up to completed ones on finished albums. And, I actually heard every lyric on "Miss Misery." Stand out tracks are "Angel in the snow," "Going nowhere," and older ones like "Thirteen," "Big Decision" (especially for those of you that don't have the KRS comp), and "Either/Or." It's too bad as everyone says, that life felt that bad for him that he had to off himself. Yet, I guess for those of us that are left, we're never really alone if you flip the record needle down and listen. I think this is a spectacular album that should be purchased and listened to only on vinyl.
