Listening to: This Moment in Black History

1) This Moment in Black History
"About last night/7th heaven (Leroy version)" The first song is fast and rockin, and has already made my list of top five songs of the month...whoa. The second one, well, I thought it was on the wrong speed and then I thought that the record was not secured properly. The second track well, its a slow horrored out scary-assed track.

CD:
1) Cursive - "Happy Hollow" A pleuthoria of sounds here. I hear alittle Morphine on the horns in track 11. Some Dismemberent Plan dispert here and there, and shit alot of catholic references all over the fucking place. The CD doesn't really pick up for me until track 4 and then dies down at track 12, which isn't bad. Its just that the first few and the last track sound too familar. I believe that this is a concept album, like someone searching for meaning. I hear alot of questioning of faith and looking for other things to believe in. The themes are all too real and oddly comforting for a reformed anti-catholic agnostic as myself.
